Miracale Week!!

Heya everyone,

 

This week has been pretty much amazing! We have been teaching my good friends Billy. He hasn't been progressing, he comes to church, but whenever we go over to teach, he has so many questions we can't teach him anything. That all changed this week. We were able to teach him 3 times each one better than the one before. on Sunday after church we met with him. He told us he had some news. Before he was saying he wants proof. So we told him to pray that is the prove we can give him. He told us he was ready to make a life changing commitment. He asked us about baptism!! It was such a powerful experience getting to see the spirit change some one so much in a week. I think it had alot to do with putting his name in the temple prays:)

 

Also we met a man named Tim on the bus. We shared with him about the great aptatacy and joseph smith restoring the goslple to the earth. We shard the first vission and how joseph had received an aswer to his prayers. And he accepted a book of mormon! He is a bit bussy but we got his number and will be seein him later next month.

 

Our great friend Paula is doing really well as well. She is coming to church and enjoying it. She has come so far in her life and I know she will eventually make it all the way back to her loving Heavenly Father:)

 

I was on exchanges this week with my friend Elder Elison from Kimberly Idaho. We came out at the same time and was on the same flight over, so we have formed a good friendship over the mission. He is a great hard working missionary. And we were able to see so many miracle! Next week is another Bank Holiday, so you won't be hearing from me unitl Tuesday or Wednesday. Easter Week!

Hey everyone!! Sorry I haven't gotten to ya for a fort night

 

Easter Sunday was pretty nice. I got the chance to give a talk in sacrament meeting. It was on the atonement, so I started tell the people stories. Because I learned that telling stories works alot better. It was the way Jesus Christ taught. I related the atonement to when I got my wisdom teeth out. It is remarkable how we can take any experience we have in life and relate it to the gosple. And use our experiences to bless the lifes of others.

 

I was able to go to the temple on Monday! Wow honestly the temple is the place to be. I could feel the spirit even before we got into the temple grounds. Just seeing the temple brought me joy. Then I got to go in and stay for a few hours:) the veil is so thin in the temple. I felt like I had a direct line between me and god. He was listening to my thoughts and directing me in his work.

 

I was on exchanges with a missionary from Sweden in Liverpool last week. We street contacted into this lady called Kate. She is so prepared we invited her to be baptised and she was like yeah when can we do it! We were like slow down cowgirl we need to teach you 4 lessons before you can be baptised. So they are meeting her tomorrow:) Liverpool is such a blessed land. It was great to be back in my birth place.

 

We had a big ward activity on Monday. It was at one of the members houses. we had a big easter egg hunt and even one for the adults. Which us missionaires won. I think it is because we are so use to finding ;) haha then we had a egg toss. We had to toss the egg back and forth each time getting just a bit further and further until our egg broke we got second place!

 

My easter was very great. It was such a spiritual experience getting to share about Jesus Christ and the blessings we receive from following his plan for each of us! I love you all

Hey so general conference was pretty amazing!! I watched it at liverpool chapel which was my first area. It was really nice to get to see all the members there and talke to them. They actually remembered me! Yeah I must have left some sort of impression. They all said I have grown alot spiritually and with confidence.

Wow so conference! No new temple announced. So that means we better start using the ones we have more often. I felt this conference was alot on the side of what we can do better with our selfs. There were quite a few talks on personal worthiness and how we need to get prepared for the second coming. It is going to get worse before it gets better. Satan is hastneing his work so that salvation won't come to all of us.

So in the priesthood session I saw Jared Willmore in the choir singing. That was pretty crazy. One of my favourite quotes is "Who we are is not who we can become." We are all children of a loving heavenly father that if we follow his commandments, will get to return to live with him and become as he is. We are all gods and goddess.

Another favourite quote is "endings are not our destiny." We all have the potential to become something much more. I know that conference is a great opportunity to learn and change our lives so that we can be intune with the spirit more and come closer to our Heavenly Father. I pray that you all will get Preach My Gosples for your homes and share with others what you have been learning.
